RANT FOLLOWS:

Okay, folks. Brian Wilson is gonna release a Christmas album in the coming weeks -- I'm sure you've seen stuff about it. I'm sure you probably heard the clips, too. I'm sure you've already formulated an opinion about them as well. And I'm sure you're just aching to express your opinion on the site!

And then after you read other folks' opinions, I'm sure you're aching to express your opinion about their opinion, right?

You're all working on your articles, right? RIGHT? Because there's quite a few we've been promised -- er, including a few that we're working on, we're by no means an exception! -- that haven't quite drifted across our desk.

I myself (Jon) am working on a brief discography/review of a certain Progressive Band for whom I have expressed some affinity -- a little far afield of "Brit-Psych," but not really. Got any ideas, folks? We're nowhere near capacity.

Send 'em on. I'm gonna keep on nagging! Oh yeah -- new mp3 below!

Thanks again! -- John Lane and Jon Hunt, Prop.

Okay -- this one's from several out-of-print sources, but y'all have to hear it. Because, well, its fantastic. I'm sure you've been privvy to much of our ranting and raving about Jim Webb -- here's a nice little song from his first solo album. The story goes: they were waiting for P.F. Sloan to arrive, he wrote a song about 'im, the rest is history. "P.F. Sloan" from Jim Webb.

BONUS SONG: This one's -- well -- me, Jon, and my wife doing a version of "Got To Know The Woman" -- originally earmarked for a compilation of Dennis Wilson songs that for one reason or another didn't come out. I figure its time to share it with the groop. Its basically, in original conception, supposed to sound like the Velvet Underground doing Dennis Wilson. It gets about halfway there, but dig the hilarious "voice-over" part in the middle. And in the words of David Leaf, turn up your speakers for "a special surprise" at the end.
