LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Former "Picket Fences" regular Lauren Holly and "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" star Kimberly Elise have each scored pilot roles as the casting season begins to wind down. Radio personality Phil Hendrie has also joined a project.
Holly, whose last regular TV work was on "Chicago Hope" in 1999-2000, has joined the cast of The WB's Camryn Manheim comedy, the showbiz trade papers report. The show stars "The Practice" alum Manheim as a single mother who moves to suburbia with her kids.
In addition to "Chicago Hope," Holly was also a regular on "Picket Fences" and starred in "Dumb & Dumber" and "Beautiful Girls." More recently, she's appeared in the Hallmark Channel movie "Just Desserts" and The WB's pilot "Rocky Point," which was at one time slated for midseason this year but was eventually scrapped.
