(Approx. finished size : 9 inches diameter)
Materials: Worsted weight yarn, about 90 yds
white, (or color choice) small amount of red,
(or color desired) for flower dots.
1 pair U.S. # 10 ½ needles
Gauge: approx. 4 sts. And 8 rows to 1 inch
Petals: (make 8)
With white, or color desired, cast on 15 sts.
Knit each row for 22 rows. (about 3 ¼
Bind off. Repeat with remaining petals.
Finishing: Lay petal with one point facing
you. Bring side edges together and sew from
top of seam down to "point". Repeat
with remaining petals.
Place petals with "points" at center,
in circular fashion. Pin in place all around,
then sew in place from back side.
With red, or desired color, embroider "dots"
at center of flower, or center of "points",
Very versatile!! Can be used as a potholder,
hot pad, or even a "tree topper" !!
