Welcome to St. Cloud.  We are a growing community committed to preserving our small town life. Rooted in a unique history, with a residential area that preserves this history and new residential areas that offer the best in home ownership, St. Cloud is bonded by its commitment to strong family and principled values.

This is a community where meetings begin with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance to our flag - where that pledge is recited with dignity and pride.  People attend church in St. Cloud and church activities flourish.  Little League, Pop Warner Football, girls’ softball, soccer, and 4H are family activities involving a large number of the age-eligible children.  The police patrol on bicycle to be close to the people they serve.  While the kids are playing ball, the beautiful new Senior Center rocks with live music and dance groups every night. Craft groups, horseshoe clubs, and shuffle board groups keep the Senior Center humming all day long.  Downtown restaurants welcome the familiar as well as newcomers with greetings that make you feel at home.

The social fabric of the St. Cloud area is tied together by its churches. A wide variety of religious offerings are available through its many churches and the denominations they represent.  A listing is available in this Directory and on the Chamber website.  This is a community built on families.  Children grow up here and stay on to build their lives.  It is friendly, safe, and stable.

Supporting the preservation of this lifestyle is the commitment of St. Cloud City Council and a hardworking, dedicated staff of City employees who are in touch with the Council’s growth plan.  Controlled, planned growth efforts have resulted in a new City Hall, a $3 million dollar Senior Center, multi-million dollar lakefront improvements to East Lake Tohopekaliga, to a 57-acre nature and recreational Peghorn Park, a spectacular 590-acre Stevens Plantation including 800 upscale homes, a 100-acre office campus and light industrial park, a 17-acre retail complex and an elementary school, all wrapped with a  Wi-Fi internet zone, offering free broadband service.

Important to every community-minded and family person is the quality of education.  The St. Cloud area boasts that each of its five elementary schools is A-rated.  Three middle schools and three high schools serve the area.  Our high schools include Harmony – just one year old, St. Cloud High School, and TECO/PATHS.  TECO/PATHS is the County’s highest rated high school.

Blessed with great weather, just a short, easy drive to Orlando International Airport, a short drive to the Atlantic beaches, major attractions and shopping choices, and a unique positive community character all combine to make St. Cloud an ideal location to call home.

The St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce proudly serves the community working to preserve the unique quality of life in St. Cloud.  Major community events are produced by the Chamber, with a strategic focus on preserving small town life.  As the voice of business, the Chamber serves the community with a Business Center offering residents free professional business counseling, free adult educational scholarship counseling, and the management of the St. Cloud Historical Museum.

There are many reasons to come to St. Cloud and many more to stay.  We are glad you’re here and believe it won’t take long for you to realize why we are  “St. Cloud Proud.”

Sincerely,

David C. Lane
President/CEO
