History of Forest Brook High School
Forest Brook is located in the heart of a forest in Northeast Houston, with a brook
channeled through the campus. Thus, the name Forest Brook High School.

The school was opened August 2, 1972, with an enrollment of 2400. Alfred Hinton was the school’s first principal. The staff included about 80 teachers and four assistant principals.

Accomplishments
Forest Brook High School was designated a recognized campus by Texas Education Agency (TEA) in 2001-2002 for student performance on the TAAS test.
