Are you ready for some serious FUN?! Put your putting skills to the test as you PLAY a 9-hole miniature golf course. This highly interactive exhibition uses miniature golf to communicate science concepts ranging from dinosaurs to the rainforest to space science. Discovery Center has teamed up with local businesses and organizations to develop creative, fun and educational golf holes that are ideal for ages 3 and above. Scorecards, clubs and balls are provided for each golfer. Whether you are a golf pro, student, science buff, or just love mini-golf, put on your knickers and thinking cap and join us “fore” a “hole” lot of fun!

Our Permanent Collection

Currently, there are over 60 hands-on exhibits. We encourage you, our guest, to explore, create, play, tinker, solve, read and discover with all of the exhibits. You can learn about the weather, helium, puzzles, structures, sound, optical illusions, fish, coral and reptiles. We have Exhibit Guides that are here just for you, to answer any questions you might have about the exhibits or the Discovery Center itself.

For the little ones, we have Tiny Town – this exhibit is for children ages 4 and younger. Tiny Town allows your little one the opportunity to build, slide, climb and tinker around. This area is child-friendly, but not child-proof – adult supervision is still required.

Educational programs are available for school groups with advance reservations. The museum plans for several special events ranging from weekend workshops, birthday parties, lectures and the largest Egg Hunt in the Texas Panhandle.
