I Got Mine!
5 out of 5 stars.
I have had my Ipod Mini in the UK for a coupe of months now and they are fantastic, more then enough space and can hold about 1,000 songs. Now I have seen people say that's is a bad thing because they are smaller then the original iPods but I have had mine 2 months now and I only have 550+ songs on there... how many do you really need at one time? I use mine like a really big USB key to take movies, work, .doc & .pdf files with me anywhere I go. I strongly recommended you get one and this is from someone who as one not someone who wants one.

One thing I would recommend is making sure you name is not 5 letters long. when I set my iPod up I called it Chris's iPod but it only displays Chris's iPo... kind of mad about that but that apart get one if you can afford it.

Believe the hype!

I was initially worried about buying the ipod mini. Even though alot cheaper than the standard ipod I did think it was expensive for me personally and I was on the verge of getting a minidisk player instead as I didn't have one. Well I'm glad I never invested in a minidisk player because the ipod mini is fantastic!

It is actually bigger than I thought but is very light. It probably is about the size of credit card but it's a lot thicker. Once you take it out of the box it is quite easy to pick up how to use it. You get everything you need whether you have a mac or a PC, and you'll also get a beltclip which is secure and is actually useful! The sound is fantastic as are the extra things like organiser and games (the 'personal' music quiz is amazing!). The battery life seems fine to me at the moment. I don't know if I've had 8 hours yet but would you really use it 8 hours continously anyway? The more important thing is how you won't have to buy batteries anymore!

Also underrated is the itunes software which comes with the ipod mini. As alot of my songs were in WMA format I was worried I might not be able to put them on my ipod. Fear not because itunes will convert any WMA files into the correct format for you! I wasn't particularly an illegal download fanatic before I had my ipod, but now; with the fantastic itunes software (music store is included on the software) and my new ipod mini, I will be buying any music I don't want to buy from a shop from itunes!

My only complaint is that often when I was using itunes to take songs from a CD and upload to my ipod mini often the songs would skip when played back. It only really happenned when I uploaded an entire album. To get around this though you can upload the songs using Windows Media Player (WMA format) then itunes will convert them to the right format. No problems then!

You CAN get around 1000 songs on the ipod. Just think... you'll never have to carry all those cds or minidisks on roadtrips ever again! All your favourite songs in the palm of your hand! Don't be afraid about buying one of these! I can definitely see why they will be 'the thing' selling like hotcakes this Christmas!

Small but mighty
5 out of 5 stars.
This is one of my best buys ever. As a music fan i have struggled with inferior Mp3 players in the past, expensive players that could hold maybe 50 songs at the most, and not wanting to splash out on the more expensive ipod, and just not needing to have 10,000 songs in my pocket i opted for the cheaper ipod mini. I have been very impressed with it, it is so simple to use, and with the included iTunes software transfering files is no longer a hastle, just one click and you can have a standard 3 minute song on your mini in less than a second. Users of Apple's itunes music store will also be pleased to hear that your purchased songs will transfer seemlessly to your ipod. Once on the ipod your songs are very easy to find and listen to, organised in playlists, by album, track name or artist, and the quality of sound is exceptional. The extra features don't disapoint either; the simple calender can read appointment files from Microsoft Outlook(PC) or iCal(MAC) and you can store hundreds of contacts aswell. I would reccomend this product to anyone.
