Williams' Hot 2nd Quarter Puts Young in CPL 2nd Round

17th-seed Young broke open a close game in the second quarter to sail past 16-seed Hubbard 54-40 in first round action of the Public League playoffs. With the visiting Dolphins leading 8-5, Jarrett Williams scored 11 of his team-high 13 points in the second quarter to keep Young (9-13) with a double-digit lead for the rest of the contest. "(With our low seed) we may have to keep wearing our dark uniforms for the playoffs", siad Young coach Ron Branch. The road to the Public League title sometimes has to come from playing on the road, so we are ready if necessary." Demetrius Williamson added 12 points for the Dolphins. D'Juan Stewart scored a game-high 16 points to lead the host Greyhounds (13-10).
