Concession Tickets
The NSW government subsidises transport fares so that concessions are offered to eligible beneficiaries.
Concession beneficiaries include school students, tertiary students, apprentices, trainees, vision impaired and welfare recipients.
Children up to their 4th birthday are entitled to travel free on all Sydney Buses, Sydney Ferries, Newcastle Buses & Ferries, CityRail and Western Sydney Buses T-way services.
Children from the age of 4 to under 16 can purchase many tickets at a reduced price (see table below for more details).
The table below show which concession cardholders are entitled to which ticket types at concession fares.

Passengers must be in possession of their valid Concession Card at all times when purchasing and travelling with a concession ticket.
