| It all started around the kitchen table, of course. For the umpteenth time we got a call to help a friend with a computer home networking project, with an offer of a good dinner in return. Don’t get us wrong, we love a good dinner, but we could spend every weekend coming to the aid of friends who call us. After promising to come over later and hanging up the phone, the conversation went something like this: Rob: I should just record myself and hand a copy of the recording to friends whenever they call. Nina: This is valuable info you're sharing - we should do a DVD and sell it. Who wants to plow through a book to figure this stuff out? And then we went back to our breakfast and newspapers. Before too long Nina was interviewing Rob every Sunday morning at the kitchen table and writing a script. Of course the concept grew as we realized that we were the geeky do-it- yourself people who are ALWAYS getting called by lots of friends to help them with LOTS of things, not just computer home networks.
