Why change a successful formula? Once again, the guitarist finds himself paired with a variety of all-star guests, including Michelle Branch, Joss Stone, Sean Paul, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, Big Boi and Mary J. Blige.

Los Angeles Times
It's the hip-hop energy Mary J. Blige and OutKast's Big Boi bring to "My Man" that makes the most of the assembled talent by relying on musical inspiration rather than marquee power. [30 Oct 2005]
60
Q Magazine
Although none of the newcomers quite supply the killer touch, the flow of soft-rock shimmies and cowbell-driven R&B; lives up to the guestlist's promise. [Dec 2005, p.156]
58
E! Online
Even Santana sounds bored, absentmindedly delivering Latin rock-influenced guitar licks behind a parade of stale melodies.

50
Billboard
Too often Santana sounds like a guest on his own show.
42
Entertainment Weekly
Again, he saddles his guests with stupendously pedestrian material. [4 Nov 2005, p.72]
40
All Music Guide
A bland, friendly affair that disappears into the ether the moment it's finishing playing.

The New York Times
Too many of the guest stars and committee-written songs on this album are strictly B-list. [31 Oct 2005]
40
Blender
The novelty of the all-star show has worn off, especially as the caliber of the all-stars has declined dramatically. [Nov 2005, p.140]
40
Uncut
The best you can say is that it's a great marketing ploy. [Dec 2005, p.112]
40
Mojo
Slick mediocrity. [Dec 2005, p.98]
30
The Guardian
Santana proves that even endless high-sustain soloing cannot heal the generically lame.

Bryan P gave it a7:
This the second cd i have of Santana and i think it's a really good cd with a mixed bag of offerings extending from alot of different genres of music put together. At first it seemed to me not to go very well togerther but it has reall y grown on me the more i listen to it.

Tom V gave it a10:
Just listen to this record - it's really great! Santana rocks and the songs are awesome!

Aaryn C gave it a7:
"Cry Baby Cry" w/ Joss Stone & Sean Paul - interesting collaboration and the song is good. the hook is beautiful. i would like to hear more of carlos santana. why doesn't he work w/ Alicia Keys and NaS?!

Jadin H gave it a3:
I didn't bother buying Supernatural and never heard of Shaman. But when All That I Am came out I was hopeful it had gone back to the roots that made Santana great. It hadn't. The first song was the only song to have the great percusion, energy instrumental I've grown to love. The remainder I struggled to listen to more than once. Maybe next album.... maybe.

Math436 seagull gave it a10:
