About DSA's Membership

The Direct Selling Association is a corporate membership organization. There are two primary categories of membership in DSA: direct selling membership and supplier membership.

  • Direct selling members are companies that manufacture or deal in goods or services intended to reach the consumer through a personal sales contact.

  • Supplier members are companies that provide goods and/or services to support direct selling companies.

In addition to direct selling and supplier membership, there is a subscriber category for those planning to start a U.S. direct selling company within six-to-twelve months of their application for membership.

Direct selling and Supplier member companies that operate, or are planning to begin operations, in countries other than the United States may be interested in DSA's International Council.

Individual direct sellers (distributors, dealers, consultants, displayers, etc.) who market products or services under a trademark or brand name which they do not own or control are not eligible for DSA membership at this time. If the company whose products/services you market is not a member of DSA, we would be happy to send that company membership information.

Direct selling companies without operations in the United States will soon be able to take advantage of a Global Associate Membership category that allows these companies to access selected services and benefits.
