Audio Kitchen with The Professor
archives | last show: 2001/01/03
The Professor serves up an hour of homemade recordings freshly liberated from thrift stores and junk shops, as well as some amateur audio spirited away from the closets and computers of their creators. We will podcast reruns from the Audio Kitchen archives.

Coffee 2 Go with Noah
archives | last show: 2005/11/29
WFMU's underground hip-hop podcast. When it comes to hip-hop, radio either supports the major label funded sounds or the independently released up & comers. Where do unsigned acts go? Look no further; "Coffee 2 Go" is THEE spot to drop your most raw and grimey unmastered demos! The half-hour shows are hosted by Noah Zark, DJ BrownBum and The Custodian Of Records. Download the MP3 of the show every other week as a new batch of tracks gets their due! A new edition of the show will be available for download or streaming every other Wednesday.

Dave Emory

Anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory (spelled E-M-O-R-Y) goes into all the hidden truths and details about evil men and their trade practices.

Downtown Soulville with Mr. Fine Wine
archives | last show: 2005/12/09
One hour; 23 or 24 soul 45's.

Professor Dum Dum's Lab
archives | last show: 2005/12/07
Professor Dum Dum, scientist of music, performs experiments in music and human behaviour. Living, breathing volunteers subject themselves to his verbal vivsection, helping all to understand what laymen call "absurdity."

Seven Second Delay with Ken and Andy
archives | last show: 2005/12/07
Ken and Andy further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards as the program enters its death throes. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw.

Sinner's Crossroads with Kevin Nutt
archives | last show: 2005/12/08
Scratchy vanity 45s, pilfered field recordings, muddy off-the-radio sounds, homemade congregational tapes and vintage commercial gospel throw-downs; a little preachin', a little salvation, a little audio tomfoolery.

The Dusty Show [NEW]
archives | last show: 2005/12/05
Everything. Multi-sensory soundscapes. Intimate monologues. Street interviews from all walks of life. Intensive quik-cut sound editing. Social commentary. Odd vinyl. Gladness/sadness. Cornfields, gravel roads and urban sprawl.

The Ed Shepp Radio Experiment [NEW]
archives | last show: 2005/12/09
Each week Ed Shepp and his guests explore a theme plucked randomly from the perfume cloud over Macy's. May include (but is not limited to) talking, music, turkey sounds and eargasmic eclectitude.

The Speakeasy with Dorian
archives | last show: 2005/12/05
Guests from the world of the arts, sciences, the media, and other areas. Every couple of weeks the Speakeasy presents "Duck Hunting With Dick", our political hour with co-host Ken Smith

Thomas Edison's Attic
archives | last show: 2005/11/29
The audio curator at Edison National Historic Site rummages through the archives of the legendary Edison Laboratory of West Orange, New Jersey. Tune in for Edison cylinder and disc record rarities, many not heard since "the old man" himself stashed them away, featuring: Tin Pan Alley pop songs, ragtime, vaudeville comedy sketches, flapper dance bands, old-time country tunes, historic classical music, laboratory experiments and other artifacts - all dating from 1888 through 1929.

What is podcasting?

Podcasting is the automatic delivery of MP3 sound files to your computer and/or MP3 player. If you subscribe to a particular podcast, then the MP3 for that podcast will automatically be delivered to your computer / MP3 player whenever a new episode of the podcast is available, provided that your computer is left turned on and is online.

For a more detailed definition of podcasting, click here.

Podcasting Howto

For anyone new to podcasting we have put together a brief tutorial. Click Here to view setup instructions for today's most popular browsers and podcast receivers.

We currently recommend iPodder and iTunes. To "subscribe" to a WFMU show, simply copy an XML link above and paste it into iPodder. When a new episode is available, iPodder will download it and pass it off to iTunes. iTunes can then copy the episode to your iPod. The entire process can be automatic.

Please tell us about your experience with these podcasts.
