Black Ribbon Campaign Against Voting

Welcome!

"That government is best which governs not at all; and when men are prepared for it,
that will be the kind of government which they will have." -- Henry David Thoreau

Welcome to the Economic Government Group! We're an informal organization of those advocating economic government, our term for the rejection of the state in favor of a society based solely on voluntary institutions. Economic government is also known as voluntaryism and anarcho-capitalism. Economic government might also be characterized as libertarianism taken to its logical conclusion, and thus we could also accurately be called libertarians who have the courage of our convictions.

If you've reached this page through an attempt to visit Economic.net, you're in the right place. After a very long period without updates to the site we're back and bigger than ever. The domain name economic.net is being retasked for a new online service called the Economic Network that will provide alternatives to state sponsored systems of justice. Meanwhile we've split the old Economic Government Group site -- a lot of people call us EGG -- into three.

The first site is the League of Non-Voters. Named in honor of the '60s era organization founded by Sy Leon and Richard Grant, it's the successor to the old Don't Vote! campaign. And speaking of the campaign, it's better than ever. We've upgraded it to be the "Black Ribbon Campaign Against Voting" and have made all new images that are easier than ever to integrate into your web site.

The second web site is LibertyGrid. The Grid was a well received feature of the old site, such that we decided to give it its own web presence. In addition, we hope that it will be the first of many online books published by EGG. Have a manifesto or treatise compatible with the ideals of economic government that you'd like to share, but you don't have much web savvy? We can help.

The third site is the one you're reading now, the refurbished Economic Government Group. We have all the old articles and reviews, with new ones on the way. And of course, we welcome your submissions.

We're glad to be back, and glad you've decided to take a look at us. Thanks for stopping by.

Peace and Prosperity,
