As one of New York City's oldest voluntary agencies, PPNYC offers an array of reproductive health care, education and advocacy services and programs.

At health centers located in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan, PPNYC offers comprehensive family planning and reproductive health services to nearly  40,000 women, men and teens each year. Because we realize that New York's neediest residents are probably the least likely to walk in for assistance and treatment, PPNYC's mobile medical van brings sexual health information and services to people living on the City's streets. Clinical training programs such as PPNYC's acclaimed Clinician Training Initiative pick up where medical schools and teaching hospitals leave off — training doctors and health professionals in how to perform abortions.

PPNYC's landmark education and training programs extend from New York City to the world. Domestic education staff train public school personnel, youth-serving professionals and parents in effective sexuality education. The education program also implements community-based initiatives to curb teen pregnancy in neighborhoods such as the South Bronx and the Lower East Side of Manhattan. PPNYC's Margaret Sanger Center International works in partnership with governmental and non-governmental organizations to improve sexuality education and reproductive health services in some of the world's most impoverished countries. And PPNYC's Public Affairs department advocates to ensure that all women, regardless of age or income, have access to the reproductive health services they need.
