The key new features within the HyperOs flagship products
Improvements in HyperOs 2005 over HyperOs 2004FE

[1] No more DOS screens.
[2] Backup metadata stored inside the backup file, so you can move backups around without losing their metadata
[3] Warning when attempting to overwrite a drive with backups on it.
[4] Drives containing backups are shown in bold in the backup locations selector
[5] Option to backup the entire drive or just Windows and its apps (C drive only)
[6] Option not to copy user documents to save space (C drive only).
[7] Simplified C drive back up and restore process.
[8] Option to preserve Documents and Settings folder (emails, favourites, my documents, desktop etc) on target drive when copying a new system to it.
[9] Improved HyperOs uninstaller for moved applications. It is now compliant with all known apps.
[10] Double click automated install, no manual necessary.
[11] Automatic partitioning if you require it.
[12] Now handles any number of primary partitions, any number of bootable partitions, and any number of hard disks
[13] Now handles any sequence of partition types.
[14] No longer needs to perform automatic drive letter re-assignments. But the user still has this as an option.

Improvements in HyperOs 2004FE over HyperOs 2004TE

[1] Now uninstalls applications from all moved systems, including systems moved from C.
[2] Live clones NTFS and FAT32 systems. HyperOs clones the system you are in, you no longer need to swap out of it to clone it. It performs a file system copy with a registry fix and a locked file mop up. You can now live clone your original XP from C even if C is NTFS.
[3] No longer requires a 98SE Boot Floppy. HyperOs includes a Bootable PM8 CD in addition to the HyperOs CD.
[4] Uses ARC paths as default in Boot.ini with improved Boot.ini formation. As a result Hal.dll errors (XP is not at that drive letter) no longer occur as a result of HyperOs (in our testing).

Improvements in HyperOs 2004TE over HyperOs 2004SE

[1} Now uninstalls applications from moved systems.
[2] New Windows look (less DOS-ified)!
[3] Adds NTFS read support to DOS. The DOS SYSTEMS command lists all Windows system including those on NTFS partitions. The DOS SYSTEM command fires up any Windows system including those on NTFS partitions.
[4] Now re-references all users in moved windows systems as well as system administrators.
[5] Boot-menu timeout options from 1-30 seconds

Improvements in HyperOs 2004SE over HyperOs 2004

[1] Option to show a Boot Menu if desired.
[2] Runs the HyperDrive I, HyperDrive II and the HyperDrive III.
[3] More intelligent Zip backup and restore, we ignore the Recycled bin, the System Restore folder, the System Volume Information folder and the Hibernate file (Hiberfil.sys) and the paging file or swap file. This makes the zipped backup smaller and the backup process faster.

Improvements in HyperOs 2004 over HyperOs 2003

[1] Keep your existing windows installation and either clone it or add any other Windows or Linux OS.
[2] HyperOs 2004 no longer employs drive substitution to fire up Windows 95 98 Me as HyperOs 2003 did. This simplifies installation and usage. It also means that HyperOs 2004 always reboots when swapping between Operating Systems.
[3] HyperOs 2004 no longer reserves the D drive for itself. You can put any Operating System on D you like.
[4] HyperOs 2004 runs up to 22 Windows 95 98 ME NT 2K XP 2003 systems and any number of Linux systems (Red Hat Mandrake or SuSE) in addition to your Windows systems on one or more hard disks.
[5] HyperOs 2004 can clone your original Windows system on C to any other drive letter. HyperOs 2003 can only clone it to E and above.
[6] HyperOs 2004 can copy any Windows OS to any partition and run it from that new partition. It can restore an image of a Windows system to any drive letter and run it from that new drive letter. It does this by automatically re-referencing the drive letters in the Windows registry and other files to run from the new driver letter. HyperOs 2003 could also do this with all drive letters other than C. HyperOs 2004 can do it with C as well.
[7] HyperOs 2004 has improved system switching speed and improved start up speed compared to HyperOs 2003 for 9xMe systems.

HyperOs OneClick
Key Benefits
£39.00 $73.99 £59.00 $103.25

System Requirements:

Minimum Specification: AMD k6+ or Intel Pentium. A Hard Disk with any version of Windows 2000 or Windows XP present on C: A CD Rom Drive.

RAM Requirements: HyperOs OneClick only requires the Windows recommendations for system RAM.

Software Requirements: Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP Home or Windows XP Professional.
HyperOs is compatable with all Windows Service packs.

HyperOs OneClick gives you 2 or more PC's in 1 box.

OneClick actually clones the system that you are in! This has hitherto been believed to be impossible. Fully automated installation, just double click the install icon.

A Windows system just for the net
A personal Windows system for every member of the family
A dedicated Windows system just for Graphics Music or Games
A secure mission critical Windows system for business
A sacrificial Windows system for testing software
A backup Windows system, just in case

Backup and restore whole Windows systems in seconds, without losing your data

Return any of your new Windows systems to its original virgin condition in seconds

Swap to any Windows system with a double click

Dedicated Internet System:
Every Windows system connected to the net needs anti-virus, firewall, anti-zombie and anti-pop-up software just to keep it usable. But why install all this military might in your mission critical Windows system? Why risk an Internet connection in that system at all? It is much safer to fight this war in an entirely separate Windows system dedicated to the net. Then if you lose the battle in your net system you won’t loose the war in your main system.

Solve Every Software Problem With OneClick:
Have you ever installed a new piece of software and followed instructions to the letter only to find that everything goes to hell including the uninstall? Well with “HyperOs OneClick” a perfect system is only seconds away. You can solve any software problem with a few mouse clicks, without calling technical support. “HyperOs OneClick” just swaps you into the next Windows system.

Give your big application its very own Windows:
If you’re big on Graphics, Music, Video Editing or Games, then you will know that installing a whole bunch of other apps in the same system as your big app will kill your PC’s performance. Your brand new wiz-bang PC will end up running like British Rail in autumn. Give that big app its own system and “HyperOs OneClick” will swap you in or out of this system in seconds. Then you will have some chance of actually achieving the benchmarks quoted in the PC magazines for this app.

The Family PC:
Give every member of the family their own Windows system in the family’s PC. Then dad will not have to put up with his daughter’s purple screensaver any more! Everyone in the family can have their own wallpaper, colour theme, hardware drivers, applications, settings, Internet account and favourites. Whatever one family member does with his Windows system will not affect anyone else’s Windows system.

Limitless Power:

Yes, you can buy a CDROM drive that reads and writes a few times faster than normal. Yes, you can install a graphics card that renders a few millions pixels per second more than the average. Yes, you can buy a processor that runs a few Megahertz faster than the one available last week. But all of these minor and incremental power increases are negligible when compared to having several more virgin Windows systems literally at your disposal. HyperOs OneClick gives you up to three more Windows systems! So you can have 3 more Ferraris in your garage. Each one can be fitted out perfectly for its main purpose rather than being an overloaded compromise. If you want performance, the first place to look is Windows itself.

HyperOs 2004FE s11 and s22
Key Benefits

s11 £99.00 $173.25
s22 £149.00 $260.75

System Requirements:

Minimum Specification: AMD k6+ or Intel Pentium. A Hard Disk with enough spare space for all the systems you wish to run. A CD Rom Drive.

RAM Requirements: HyperOs 2004 only requires the Windows recommendations for system RAM. To use the HyperDrive I facility you will need between 768MB and 1GB of system RAM. To use the HyperDrive III facility you will need to purchase the HyperDirve III hardware.

Software Requirements: Compatible with Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows NT Server, Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional, The Server 2003 Family, Longhorn Alpha and mainstream versions of Linux (Red Hat, Mandrake or SuSE).
HyperOs also works with all Windows Service packs.

It is a revolution on a CD ROM. Here are its capabilities:

The blue specs are the capabilities that no other software has, we believe...

[1] Runs up to 11/22 copies of Windows 95 98 Me NT 2K XP 2003 systems on drives C to M/X, on one or more HDDs.

[2] Runs any number of Linux Mandrake, SuSE and Red Hat systems in addition to 11/22 Windows Systems on one or more HDDs.

[3] Swaps systems without multi-booting. The C: drive remains your one bootable partition, just like a single installation. HyperOs does not change your boot environment at all. HyperOs rewrites BOOT.INI and MSDOS.SYS and swaps 9x and ME DOS as necessary. It uses BOOT.INI to choose Linux boot sectors from Linux boot sector files it creates and stores on your C: drive. HyperOs effectively multi-boot sectors with Linux.

[4] No partitions are hidden, all Windows and Linux systems can see all other Windows and Linux systems and all data and all data partitions. Each Windows or Linux system can operate on all the data on any HDD.

[5] All 9x and ME systems share the same swap file and all NT 2K XP 2003 systems share the same Paging file. This works flawlessly and saves a lot of space.

[6] Swaps systems with a double click fire and forget from within Windows or Linux using the My Other Computers Window.

[7] Keeps your existing Windows installation on C and allows you to add as many other Windows or Linux systems as you like.

[8] You can copy your existing Windows system on C to any other partition up to X, with a drag and a drop. This creates further Windows systems from your existing Windows system.

[9] Because HyperOs does not hide any partitions, it can manage one Windows system from another. This results in incredibly fast back up, restore, zip, unzip, copy, and delete times.

[10] HyperOs can back up a system in seconds as a sector by sector image file (FAT16 and FAT32 only) with a single click or a drag and drop. This needs to be seen to be believed. A fast HDD with backup XP in 60 seconds. It will backup NT in 6 seconds. This is over 5 times faster than Norton Ghost.

[11] HyperOs can back up any system in seconds as a zip archive (All file systems) with a single click or a drag and drop. This also needs to be seen to be believed. A fast HDD with zip up XP in 120 seconds. It will zip up NT in 12 seconds.

[12] HyperOs can back up and restore whole systems or data partitions to and from any local or network location using the My Other Computers Window.

[13] HyperOs adds FAT32 capability to Windows NT4. It adds back DOS 8 underneath Windows ME. It adds NTFS reading capability to DOS. It fixes MaxPhysPage and Vcache in SYSTEM.INI to permit the use of 1GB of RAM with 95 98 Me systems.

[14] HyperOs can back up whole Windows systems intelligently, we ignore the Recycled bin, the System Restore folder, the System Volume Information folder and the Hibernate file (Hiberfil.sys) and the paging file if required.

[15] HyperOs provides an optional boot interrupt menu.

[16] HyperOs can clone any Windows system from any drive letter between C and X to any other drive letter between C and X, in seconds, and then reconfigure that Windows system to run from its new drive letter automatically using WINMOVE and WINMOV9X.

[17] HyperOs can restore an image made of any Windows system to any drive letter between C and X and automatically reconfigure it to run from the target drive using WINMOVE and WINMOV9X.

[18] HyperOs can uninstall applications from a drive letter other than the drive the applications were installed on except in the cases of applications that we originally installed on C.

[19] HyperOs Instant System wiper deletes a whole Windows system with one key stroke.

[20] HyperOs reassigns drive letters in 2K and XP and 2003 back to the Microsoft default order, if they get jumbled up.

[21] My Other Computers provides a choice of a simplified BOOT.INI protocol or the full length ARC paths. It can swap to partitions that the OS itself cannot see. MOC can swap from 9x and Me to NTFS or Linux partitions. It provides a small system identifier at the top right of your screen to tell you which system you are in if required. MOC is so detailed that it replaces My Computer in single Windows system operation and surpasses it completely in multiple Windows system operation.

[22] HyperOs provides commands which operate in Windows or DOS to swap systems (SYSTEM), copy systems (SYSCOPY), back up and restore systems (SYSIMAGE), zip and unzip systems (SYSZIP), wipe systems (SYSWIPE), and list systems in DOS (SYSTEMS). HyperOs can list NTFS Windows systems in DOS and swap to them from DOS.

[23] HyperOs has wizards which accept 95 98 ME Windows installation CDs and do everything for you during the Windows 95 98 ME install.

[24] HyperOs runs Windows 95 98 ME from the HyperDriveI (a RAMDISK made out of System RAM) as well as from your HDD. And it can run all Windows Systems including NT 2K XP 2003 from the HyperDriveIII (a Hard Disk made out of DRAM).

[25] Comprehensive instruction Manual taking you step by step from a blank hard disk to running 95 98 ME NT 2K XP and 2003 if required. Plenty of notes and fixes for Windows ‘features’.Useful advice on what to do and what not to do. Please visit our forum for user experiences…http://www.hyperosforum.co.uk

Just so that you know how perspicacious and how unusual and how exceptionally innovative HyperOs is, we have listed its 25 main technical capabilities above, and in doing so have discovered that 9 of them are not available in any other software.

HyperOs is a must for any serious PC user because you can …

1. Solve every software problem with OneClick (swap to the next system)

2. Give the Internet its own Windows System (fight the war only in this system)

3. Give everyone in the Family PC his or her own system.

4. Give your big application(s) their very own Windows system (best performance and stability for your big apps, such as graphics, music or games)

5. Create a sacrificial Windows system for testing out new software

6. Create a secure mission critical Business Windows system (ring fence it, then install all new drivers and applications in a second Windows system).

7. Create a parallel backup system or systems of your most important Windows systems just in case.

8. Back up or restore any system locally or to a network location in seconds with a drag and drop, or a double click.

System Requirements:

Minimum Specification: AMD k6+ or Intel Pentium. A spare PATA(IDE)/SATA connection. A spare 5.25" CD Rom bay.

Software Requirements: Compatable with any Operating System.

RAM Requirements: Can take upto 8 x 16GB DDR1 sticks. Here is a list of HyperDrive III compatible 1GB and 2GB memory modules; HyperDrive III Memory
The HyperDrive III is quite simply a Hard Disk made out of DRAM. It therefore connects and performs like an impossibly fast Hard Disk. Here are the technical specs:

CDROM drive form factor. Fits into a standard 5.25" CD bay.

Connects just like a Hard Disk or a CDROM.

PATA(IDE) or SATA

Unlike the HyperDrive II which only took on board RAM. The HyperDirve III provides 8 DIMM slots, each of which can take DIMMs up to 2GB in capacity (no on board RAM). So max capacity is now 16GB.

Retains data when the PC is restarted or shutdown by having an independent power supply connected to the main PC power lead through a PCI slot blanking plate.

Integral 160 minute 7.2v battery back up to cover electricity board power outages (1250 milliamp hours - on board trickle charge unit takes 48 hours to fully charge).

Quick backup possible with HyperOs 2004 or HyperOs OneClick and an integral 160 minute 7.2v battery back up to cover electricity board power outages. Also compatible with all UPS's.

Bootable IDE device.

Can be destructively reformatted (The HyperDrive III can perform a full format almost instantly).

Far more reliable than a Hard Disk (no head crashes and no moving parts).

Gramophone free design - no mechanics, pure silicon!

Silent!

A good hard disk can do around 40,000 stops and starts at 40 degrees centigrade (Hitachi/IBM Deskstar 180GXP). The HyperDrive III doesn't mind how many stops and starts it does because it has no moving parts.

The fastest hard disks today with ATA133 Buses provide a sustained data rate between 20 and 55 MB per second depending where the data is on the mechanical rotating platter. This figure is 93 MB per second for the HyperDrive III with an ATA100 Bus. The seek time for the HyperDrive III is at the silicon level (less than 100 microseconds) rather than the mechanical magnetic level (8 milliseconds). So the read and write times for the HyperDrive III are over 80x faster than a Hard Disk. This translates into the following real world benefits:

20,000+ inputs and outputs per second

XP installs on a HyperDrive III in around 4 minutes, rather than the 40 minutes that it takes to install on a Hard Disk.

'Instant' Desktop.

'Instant' on, after the BIOS and Hardware checks.

Vast performance increases for IO intensive applications such a Graphics, Games, Audio processing, Video processing, large Databases, and large Spreadsheets etc. (You can run Windows, your applications and your data all on the HyperDrive III or use the HyperDrive III as an extremely fast scratch disk).

The HyperDrive III comes with a 3-year manufacturers warranty.
