Game Audio Network Guild Announces 2nd Annual G.A.N.G. Awards/Nominees

The Game Audio Network Guild, the non-profit organization established to promote excellence in interactive music and sound, has announced its 2nd Annual G.A.N.G. Award nominations. The GANG Awards recognize achievement in music, sound design, and voice acting and will take place during this year's Game Developers Conference. The 2 1/2 to 3 hour ceremony will be held Thursday, March 25th, 8:30pm in the Regency Ballroom of the Fairmount Hotel in San Jose.

Clint Bajakian, Composer/Music Director of Bay Area Sound Department and Vice-President of G.A.N.G., said, "One of the greatest G.A.N.G. contributions to the game industry is the annual awards ceremony. In only its second year, the G.A.N.G. Award is already viewed by the community as a credible and prestigious accolade."

The G.A.N.G awards have been welcomed by the pro game audio community, as the nominees and winners are chosen and voted on by their peers, including some of the top composers and sound designers in the industry.

Jack Wall, Composer/Producer and Senior Director of G.A.N.G. commented, "The 2nd Annual GANG Awards coincides with GANG's second anniversary. We're 500 members strong and growing. The Awards program definitely shines a very bright light on all the great music and sound being produced for the Interactive entertainment medium. The quality shift in the last fews years is absolutely monumental. These awards all help us to recognize that and make sure others in the industry do as well."
