March 20, 1987, Falwell announced charismatic PTL conglomerate had been turned over to him by Jim Bakker, Falwell personally chose new board members including new evangelicals such as [CNP's] Ben Armstrong of the National Association of Religious Broadcasters, Southern Baptists such as [CNP] Sam Moore of Thomas Nelson Publishers, Dr. Baily Smith and Richard Lee Common, and charismatics Richard Dortch, Rex Humbard, and [CNP's] James Watt. 3

2/21/86 Christianity Today, Falwell stated that Catholics made up the largest constituency (30%) in Moral Majority. At that time Moral Majority had 500,000 active contributors and a mailing list of six million people. Falwell was also one of the speakers at the 4/80 "Washington for Jesus" rally. Fellow speakers were Catholic priests John Bertolucci, John Randall, and Michael Scanlon. 5.

The 7/24/88 Washington Post Magazine carried a long story on Dr. Falwell and stated the following:

In 6/85, one of Moon's organizations held several rallies, one of which was in Washington, D.C. Falwell joined a group of religious leaders at a Washington news conference dubbed as a "welcome home" party for Moon, who had just been released from prison after serving 13 months for evading federal income taxes. At this conference, Falwell suggested that President Ronald Reagan issue a pardon to clear Moon's name. 7

In December of 1995 in Montevideo, Uruguay, Falwell spoke at a conference sponsored by Moon's Inter Religious Federation for World Peace and Washington Times Foundation, and titled, "Christian Ecumenism in the Americas: Toward One Christian Family Under God." In his speech, Falwell said, "It is my observation and personal conviction that conferences and seminars like this one can be very beneficial for building bridges of communication." ("Bridges of communication"? What does that mean! Christ didn't say, "Go into all the world and build bridges of communion." He commands us to "preach the gospel"! Any lesser "communication" is compromise and a denial of our Lord.) 8

According to Cornerstone magazine, "In 1994, Jerry Falwell quietly accepted a $3.5 million donation from a Unification Church front group, the Women's Federation for World Peace, to help bail out Falwell's then-insolvent Liberty University." The magazine also reported that Robert Parry, a journalist for I.F. Magazine and the Los Angeles Times, revealed that Moon had funneled the donation through the Christian Heritage Foundation (CHF), a non-profit group that had bought the school's debt, which at the time amounted to $73 million. The reporter had used an IRS tax form to track the donation's source. Rumors about the Unification Church-Liberty University relationship had circulated for months. 9

Promise Keepers national spokesman Mark DeMoss is chief of staff to Jerry Falwell. DeMoss was the administrator of the "Christian Embassy" in Jerusalem.

Joseph F. Farah - CNP 1996, 1998; Author, veteran newsman, and media consultant; owner, Farah & Associates, an editorial consulting company, clients have included Rush Limbaugh, the Herald Tribune, Jacobs Engineering, Inc., New World Entertainment, the Institute for Contemporary Studies, and NBC; co-author, This Land Is Our Land, with U.S. Representative Richard Pombo (R-CA); former editor, Sacramento Union, which was owned by Richard M. Scaife; founder and editor, WorldNetDaily 10 , a full-service Internet newspaper, Dispatches, a bi-weekly national investigative newsletter, and Inside California, a monthly publication covering state politics.

Farah is Executive director and co-founder of Western Journalism Center, (WJC) a non-profit, tax-exempt foundation promoting journalism education and investigative reporting. Western Journalism Center was the founder of Farah's internet newspaper, World Net Daily which is now completely and separately incorporated. 11

The Western Journalism Center, which the Clinton administration identified as an enemy, filed a $40 million lawsuit in 1998, against the Internal Revenue Service for what it called a retaliatory audit. The suit accused a former IRS commissioner and an IRS agent of conducting an "unlawful, politically inspired audit" in 1996. It claimed the IRS employees punished the center and other "perceived adversaries of the Clinton administration" by violating their constitutional rights to free speech and to be protected from unreasonable searches.

The Carthage Foundation, controlled by Richard Scaife, is one of the largest funders of the WJC. Farah's board is comprised of high-profile advisers to help with fund-raising, including such conservative luminaries as Sally Pipes, president of the Pacific Research Institute, Marvin Olasky, a professor of journalism at the University of Texas, and Arianna Huffington. Both Olasky and Huffington are senior fellows at Newt Gingrich's Progress & Freedom Foundation.⁴⁸Scaife also funds the Pacific Research Institute and GOPAC^49 " ¹²

Michael P. Formerly known as Christian Response International (CRI), Christian Solidarity U.S.A. (CSI) is devoted to the pursuit of religious freedom and the support of Christian individuals and religious organizations in countries which it has identified as lacking freedom of religion. Founded in l983 as CRI, the organization changed its name in l987 or early l988. ... The organization is the U.S. affiliate of Christian Solidarity International, based in Zurich and established there in l977.(1) 14

Other members of CSI include CNP's David Breese, president of Christian Destiny and a member of the National Advisory Board of the right-wing evangelical lobby, Christian Voice. D. James Kennedy (CNP) is on the Religious Roundtable and a former member of the Executive Committee of the Coalition for Religious Freedom.(1) Chris Smith is congressional advisor to Christian Voice.(1) Joon Gon Kim is the director of Southeast Asia programs for Campus Crusade for Christ.(1). 15

Coalition for Religious Freedom 16 : Started by Rep. George Hansen in 1984. CFR Executive committee members have included Tim LaHaye, Jerry Falwell, James Robison; Rex Humbard, D. James Kennedy, and Jimmy Swaggart. "...According to CRF president Dan Sills, [CRF] has received at least $500,000 from Moon sources. A prominent CRF spokesperson and executive committee member is Joseph Paige...Paige received $60,000 from the Unification Church for his school, which in turn gave Moon a much publicized honorary doctorate. Paige is also active in CAUSA." [1986] "the Moon organization opened an international front in its 'religious freedom" campaign. According to Moon's New York City Tribune , the World Council on Religious Liberty (WCRL) was founded in December 1986...The Chairman of WCRL is Joseph Paige, and its " Chairman of the North American Caucus is Don Sills. They have recruited Dr. Robert G. Muller, assistant Secretary general of the United Nations as chairman of the Council's International Advisory Committee. The Council's headquarters are in Raleigh, North Carolina, which is also home to Paige's Shaw Divinity School." 17.

The Mont Pelerin Society 21 , was formed at Mont Pelerin in Switzerland in 1947, at a meeting of some of the leading families of the ancient European oligarchy, chaired by the economist, Friedrich von Hayek. Mont Pelerin's main thinktank is the London-based Institute for Economic Affairs (IEA). From there it expanded worldwide creating thinktanks.

"...in London Friedrich Hayek was creating an organization that would later re-form as the Mont Pelerin Society. The early group was formed in 1939 and was known as the Society for the Renovation of Liberalism. Members of the organization included Frank Knight and Henry Simons of the University of Chicago, the slavishly pro-British American Fabian Socialist Walter Lippman, the philosopher Sir Karl Popper, Sir John Clapham of the Bank of England, and of course, Ludwig von Mises.

All of these early members of Hayek's group then met at Mont Pelerin, Switzerland to form the influential, highly-secretive, and elitist Mont Pelerin Society in 1947...From the beginning the Mont Pelerin Society worked hand-in-hand with the Pan European Union..." 43b See: Footnotes

Dr. Feulner has studied at the University of Edinburgh (Ph.D.-Founding President, American Friends of the University), the London School of Economics (Richard M. Weaver Fellow), the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (MBA-Recipient Joseph Wharton Award), Georgetown University, and Regis University (B.S.-Distinguished Alumnus Award). He has received honorary degrees from Nichols College, Grove City College, Bellevue College, Gonzaga University, Universidad Francisco Marroquin (Guatemala), and Hanyang University (Korea). 22

Feulner was a RICHARD WEAVER FELLOW who did his postgraduate at the Fabian London School of Economics. Weaver was born in 1907, graduated from Harvard, and was an instructor at the NEW SCHOOL OF SOCIAL which maintains a mural of Lenin, Stalin, marching Soviet soldiers. Weaver, like Ronald Reagan, was a member of the Fabian Socialist Americans for Democratic Action, as well as a director of the NAACP. Therefore, it should be no surprise he belonged to the subversive, Communist National Negro Congress. Richard Weaver was personally appointed by Brotherhood of Death initiate Averell Harriman to a high post in New York City. 23.

Feulner is a fellow at Hoover Institute. Seymour Martin Lipset, senior fellow at Hoover... received the Gunnar Murdal Prize, is national chairman of the B'nai B' Hiller and United Jewish Appeal, and works with CFR, Bilderberger Daniel Moynihan who states, "Over half of the senior fellows here are not right-wingers, not even conservatives; they are left-wing Democrats and socialists." Feulner is also a Rhodes Scholar. 24.

Feulner was the Vice Chairman of the National Commission on Economic Growth and Tax Reform 25.("Kemp Commission," 1995-1996); served as Chairman of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy (1982-91), as a Consultant for Domestic Policy to President Reagan, a consultant to White House Counselor Edwin Meese and as an advisor to other government departments and agencies; member of the President's Commission on White House Fellows (1981-83), of the Secretary of State's UNESCO Review Observation Panel (1985-89), and of the Carlucci Commission on Foreign Aid (1983). Dr. Feulner served as the Executive Director of the Republican Study Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Confidential Assistant to Secretary of Defense Melvin R. Laird, Administrative Assistant to U.S. Congressman Philip M. Crane (R-Illinois), and as a Public Affairs Fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. 26

In the summer of 1982, he served as a United States Representative to the United Nations Second Special Session on Disarmament where he delivered the final United States address to the General Assembly. During the transition from the Carter Administration to the Reagan Administration, Feulner served in several senior roles including the Executive Committee of the Presidential Transition. He remains involved in various aspects of foreign policy, particularly public diplomacy and international communications issues and international economic policy. He served on the United States delegations to several meetings of the IMF/World Bank group. 27.

The Heritage Foundation received $2.2 million from the Federation of Korean Industries in the early 1980s. Initially it was believed this donation came from the Korean Central Intelligence Agency (KCIA) (which would make the Heritage Foundation a foreign agent of Korea), but the Federation later stated that the donation came at the encouragement of the KCIA.. 28

Feulner was recruited in 1977 by Richard Scaife, heir of the Mellon fortune, to become Heritage president, a position he holds today. In 1975, Feulner was introduced to KCIA station chief Kim Yung Hwan by Neil Salonen and Dan Feffernan of the Freedom Leadership foundation.' Salonen was head of Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church in the United States. The Freedom Leadership Foundation (FLF), a political arm of Moon's Unification network was linked to the World Anti-Communist League (WACL). The FLF was described as 'an organization to be used to achieve KCIA objectives,' by the Congressional report, which was based on a KCIA document that discussed FLF." (8)' 29

Richard Allen (CNP) and Ed Fuelner together founded Heritage's Asian Studies Center in 1983 and Mr. Allen has served as its chairman ever since. Asian Studies Center, 30. which The Nation magazine of 1/23/89 states "has quartered apologists for [South Korean Prime Minister] Chun's regime." The Wall Street Journal of August 1995 does not mention Sun Myung Moon, but references the Korea Foundation, one of Heritage's largest donors and an affiliate of the South Korean government. The WSJ article states that Heritage Foundation promotes and actually writes pro-Korean legislation.

Heritage Foundation has had a close connection with the Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church through its former Director of Administration, Michael Warder. Warder was a director of the Unification Church in the United States in 1977. Warder was also secretary of the International Cultural Foundation, an umbrella organization coordinating a variety of Moon's projects.(61) 31 The Heritage offices in Washington, D.C. housed and employed a number of Unification Church operatives such as Michael Warder. "Christian Voice" is also one Moon-connected group that has operated out of the Heritage building. A 'former' Moon operative, Gary Jarmin [CNP], attacked critics of Moon and gave an interview to a Moon-controlled newspaper after he joined the Christian Voice (CV) staff. CV's chair, Robert Grant [CNP], has been a leader of Moon's Unification network front groups such as the American Freedom Coalition, which fundraised for Oliver North.

Feulner claims that the Heritage foundation has received funding from 87 top corporations. Included among them are Richard Mellon Scaife (Gulf Oil), the Coors family, Justin Dart (Dart Industries) the Bechtel Corp, Dow Chemical, the Readers Digest Association, Chase Manhattan Bank, Mobil Oil, Smith Kline Corporation, and G.D. Searle. Two intimate friends of Ronald Reagan--William Casey and Henry Salvatori--also made significant contributions.(2,44) Between 1973 and 1985, Richard Mellon Scaife , through the Sarah Scaife Foundation, donated over $4 million to the foundation and over a million dollars in both 1985 and 1986.(9,38) Other major corporate funders in 1985 and 1986 included the Olin Foundation ($400,000 per year); the Samuel Roberts Nobel Foundation ($350,000 in 1985 and $500,000 in 1986); the Adolph Coors Foundation, the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, the J.M. Foundation, the Starr Foundation, and the Winston-Salem Foundation ($100,000 in 1985), with all but Coors repeating in 1986. Smaller contributions are received regularly from several oil companies, General Motors, Ford Motors, Proctor and Gambel, and other enterprises.(38,39) 32.

President of Brandywine Bank, Friess spearheads the research team that manages Brandywine Fund BRWIX 45. and the smaller, more concentrated Brandywine Blue BLUEX.46 As of September 30, 2000, his firm managed approximately $9 billion in total assets, $6 billion of which represented Brandywine Fund. 47 Mr. Friess, age 59, has served as President, Treasurer and a director of both Companies since their inceptions.

On the Mother Jones List of Top 400 Political Donors, Foster Friess ranked #14 in 1996 and 58th in 1998.

"Republican Foster Friess' Delaware investment fund is so successful that even the state Democratic Party chairman--himself an investment banker--belongs. But Friess breathes more than business. "The most important thing in his life is his belief in Christ as his savior," says friend Art Brosius, who met Friess at Bible study."

"And faith influences his politics. He's vice president of the Council for National Policy, the secretive group headed by former Attorney General Edwin Meese that includes Oliver North and Pat Robertson and influenced the fundamentalist planks in the GOP's 1996 platform."

"Friess helped raise more than $1 million for unknown politico Raymond Clatworthy's failed 1996 bid to unseat Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), persuading investment bankers nationwide to contribute $1,000 each. His $260,000 in donations to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, headed by Sen. Al D'Amato (R-N.Y.), drew criticism because they began pouring in days after D'Amato resurrected a bill that will save the mutual fund industry billions by lifting state regulations. Friess shrugs it off: 'I have never talked to anyone about the bill.'" 48.
