reconstituted in T.A. with HQ at Wakefield and concurrently amalgamated with 2/4th Battalion
  1967.04.01 disbanded and concurrently reconstituted as two units:

  1992.04.01 companies reorganised (D Coy disbanded):
 
  • HQ Company at Wakefield, absorbed old A Coy; (by 1995 Atk and Mortar platoons withdrawn and consolidated in Fire Support Battalions)
  • A Company at Batley, redesignation of C Coy.
  • B Company at Pontefract.
  • C Company at Doncaster, redesignation of C Coy, 4th Bn, Yorkshire Volunteers; moved ca. 1993 to Batley with det at Dewsbury.

  1996.08.03 The King's Own Yorkshire Yeomanry (Light Infantry)
converted to national defence RAC recce role upon conversion of The Royal Yeomanry to NBC role (not related to the Yorkshire Yeomanry)
