Campaign Carl still carrying (toxic) water for Bush

Brit Hume opened today 9/12/05 on Special Report with "On his third visit to the storm-racked coast (as others have noted, the "flyover" August 31 apparently counts as a visit)...Bush today denied allegations that the federal government was slow to repond to hurricane Katrina because many of the storm victims were black. In the meantime back in Washington Carl Cameron reports that the man much blamed for the government response has resigned and his replacement is already named."

Tucked within that report was a known falsehood, Fox and CCC trying once again to lay the blame for what went wrong in NOLA on Governor Kathleen Blanco.

The Spin Never Stops, & Neither Do The Lies

Monday night (5/2) on Special Report, Brit Hume, his panel of "All-Stars" & Jim Angle all repeated the lie that Dems have not offered any alternative plan to Bush's SocSecScam. If they aren't lying about this, but are simply unaware of the existence of at least 4 alternate proposals, then they're the most ill-informed group of talking heads on the air.

Cavuto: Alan Greenspan's Trying to Kill Consumers

We News Hounds know that according to Fox News, George Bush can do no wrong. I know our deficit was caused by Bill Clinton, inflation isn't a concern, a falling dollar stimulates business growth, oil prices could go as high as $80.00 a barrel and cause no harm, and all-in-all the U.S. economy is the envy of the world. I also know that the Fox News spin machine runs into trouble when it has to explain an interest rate hike like the quarter point rate hike ordered yesterday by Alan Greenspan and the Federal Reserve.

Fox shilling Bush's Social Security Problem Tour

There were back to back segments on the SSPT on Brit Hume's Special Report today 3/20, including duplicate clips of Bush's soundbite du jour followed by a commercial from the partisan 527 PFAVoterFund promoting Bush's "rescue" of Social Security.
It is plain that what is being sold is not a solution but a problem. Believe there's a problem, and go to the man with the solution - remember "tax relief"?
How many times will "folks" fall for the same tricks? We're being "framed" again!

Barnes Calls the Kettle Black

Since I skipped the "All Stars" on 3/8, I decided to grit my teeth & document it on 3/9. Fortunately, Krauthammer was NOT on the panel. Unfortunately, Fred Barnes was (along with Mara Liasson & Mort Kondracke). Liasson finally managed to say something that didn't agree with what everyone else was saying, but Barnes indulged in his usual Dem-bashing.
