Friends of Alpinist
Alpinist is a reader-supported publication. As such, we represent you, our readers—your passions, your fears, your hopes and dreams and lifestyles. Your words fill our pages, and your cameras capture the moments that become our icons. When we’re on the road, climbing up in Canada, Alaska, down in the desert, or even here in the Tetons, we are constantly encouraged by your words of support. Already, less than a year into this adventure, the words "Friends of Alpinist" have profound meaning.

We’re currently working on a program that expands that meaning. From region to region around North America, and beyond, to the homes of our friends overseas, we are building

a deliberate community of climbers who believe in a vision of the lifestyle we present in our pages. If you are interested in learning more about this program, or becoming a charter Friend in your community, we encourage you to give us a shout. We’ll fill you in on the details.
