First of - Merry Christmas to you all!

Secondly, my apologies for not dealing with all the broken comic requests in my inbox! I'm absolutely swamped with the Christmas rush to get things done (work related of course) and as such haven't had a chance to catch up.

That being said I have taken a few sneaky hours out to play on my XBox 360 but I don't think you could hold that against me! Could you?

Since Ash is too busy breaking the internet for a living, and slightly too modest for this kind of thing, it would almost pass unnoticed... almost!

The Webcomic List is now officially about two years old. Yes, about-ish because nobody here has the memory or attention span to remember when it all really began. All we know is that it was towards the end of the year, maybe even at the start of a new year. But that's not the point. The point is that any date will do to celebrate something, and somewhere around now is as good as any other moment.
So open up the bubbly stuff and let's all give Ash a big sloppy kiss for making our life a little easier and for stealing our time with 5000 registered webcomics.

Yes, that's 5000 indeed! A few days ago we reached the magic number and haven't stopped one moment to contemplate this wonderful event.

So on behalf of the team (me, DocM and probably a lot of monkeys keeping track of the updates): Congrats!

Most "best webcomics of 2005" lists are chosen by either panels or individuals, and the awards can depend on their own particular preference regarding genre or artwork.  However, the social bookmarking  tool  del.icio.us  uses a different approach in that it's awards are based on the number people who have bookmarked a particular site. This surely must be the definitive Webcomics People's Choice Awards as they are voted by all you lovely folks out there who take the time and trouble to visit these sites.  Have a look and see what you think -  Best Webcomics of 2005!
