They thought better of > that fairly quickly..." this is AMAZING! to me those scenes seemed so similar that i thought Disney must have studied Tezuka's original and copied it, but i wasn't absolutely sure. could someone supply source, citation info for this? -------------------------------------------------------------------- === Honda: Tezuka should get Nobel Prize for Literature. if this (that Disney people studied Tezuka's work like faithful pupils and copied it) is established, it would really underline Tezuka's genius. HONDA Katuiti (prominent Japanese journalist) has written an essay around the time of Tezuka's untimely death about how Tezuka should get Nobel Prize for Literature. (the essay should be found in Honda's "hinkon naru seisin" series of books published around 1989--1992.) i don't know about that. i think Disney should get Nobel Prize before Tezuka. -------------------------------------------------------------------- === Tezuka deserves Nobel Prize before OE Kenzaburo but this i know for sure: Tezuka deserves Nobel Prize before that poseur (poser) and sycophant, OE Kenzaburo. OE Kenzaburo (OOE Kenzaburou) rejected (or declined) Japan's BUNKA-KUNSHOU medal. then why didn't he also reject the Nobel Prize, like Sartre (whom Oe imitated so diligently) did? some of Oe's sneaky, cowardly, insincere behavior is documented in the following book: HONDA Katuiti. "bunpitu seikatu no houhou". bansei-sha. i guess Honda must have already written an essay on OE Kenzaburo's winning Nobel Prize. ;;; (Mr.) TANAKA Tomoyuki (Tanaka is my family name.) ;;; ;;; Tanaka's archive site: http://copper.ucs.indiana.edu/~tanaka ;;; e-mail address:
