comfort.

The Slipstream: The Cadillac and Flagship of
Longbikes is the ultimate Touring Bicycle without equal. It loves
short jaunts around the neighborhood and quick and comfortable centuries
but calls out for long journeys into new territory. If you want to
travel in comfort and at ease, the Slipstream will take you there. |
The Eliminator G2: Quick, Nimble and Stable.
Is that possible in a SWB? It is with the Eliminator G2.
Designed with both an adjustable Boom and Seat, the G2 can be dialed in
to provide the ultimate riding experience. If you prefer a SWB and
want speed, comfort and quality, there's none better. |
December 17, 2005:
I have a few questions for anyone considering a new bike.
1) Are you satisfied with the Kenda tires specified, or would you like to
have the option of Schwalbe tires, if so, which ones?
2) Here we go again, frame materials: Who would like a Titanium
Slipstream or Eliminator or an Aluminum Eliminator?
3) Any other options you would like to have available?
4) How about a LWB or an SWB at half the price with less of a frame and
downgraded components?
5) How about a trike at Longbikes quality?
Let me know what you think;

May 9th: Tubus has been backordered on racks for a
couple of months now, so we had no choice but to build our own. Any
time you build a component for your own use, you should be able to do a
better job than done with an off the shelf component. In this case we
were able make it fit the bikes, mounts to one of the M6 drop - out
mounting screws, uses a simple Z bar for front support. Not bad for
an Under Seat Steering SWB! Pictured above is the first one to
ship. This Eliminator is on its way to Kirk in Oregon who will
shortly start out on a 4,200 mile trip across country. Kirk is a
repeat customer who gave us the opportunity to do a set of mid ship bags,
two pairs of Ortlieb's. Not all racks will have the mid-ship rack, but
can be easily added to the main rack via a small clamp or welded, with one
screw into the main frame. Note also how the rack gives us the ability
to suspend the fender from the rack. A neater and cleaner
installation, not to mention sturdier as well.

May 12th: The
Jetstream is here! This stealth photo show two of our guys from the shop
out for a parking lot spin. This is our mule version, no paint, rough
around the edges, but rides nice and easy.
I took it for a quick ride in the neighborhood
behind the shop, no fine tune adjustments to fit, didn't check the tire
pressure or anything, and if felt just like I expected, a nice ride. Click
here to see a bit more.
May 9th again:
The Jetstreams really are coming. I should have
pictures up of the unpainted mule before the end of the week...they are going
fast!
April 5, 2005
The Jetstreams are coming! There has been enough
interest in tandems so far this year that I am going to finish up the small
batch of Jetstream frames which were started last year. They were put on
the back burner last year to get the Elininator G2 and wheelchairs into
production. We will be finishing up a few frames by the end of this
month. If you are interested in a really cool SWB tandem, call quick,
these frames will not last long!
With the demise of our one local dealer, the Longbikes
"Factory Outlet" is now open by appointment on weekends, just give us
a call.
Any Denver area recumbent riders interested in getting
a weekend ride from our factory started? Give me a call or email if
interested.
The web host change is complete, all of the mail boxes
have been setup and everything appears to be working correctly. Now I
don't even have to hit the delete key 200 - 400 times each morning. Life
is getting good. If you had any problems with this in the past month, I apologize.
