ABOUT US

At CNET Networks, we are passionate about interactive content. Across our growing family of brands, we are focused on harnessing the power of the Internet to create deeply engaging destinations that fuel people's passion for the things they love to do or need to know.

CNET Networks has always been a different kind of media company. From our original idea of marrying television to the Internet, to our focus on original online content, to our standout CNET yellow, we zigged where other companies zagged.

Back in 1995, when pretty much everyone else was "repurposing" content for the Internet, we saw an opportunity to define how content should look, feel, and act in this new, interactive medium. CNET Online, with its groundbreaking design, distinctive voice, and smart functionality, quickly attracted a huge audience that shared our passion for computing and technology and valued our editorial integrity. CNET became the gold standard for publishing content on the Internet.

Since that time, we have continually innovated on behalf of users and marketers. As we have made strides in interactive content, CNET Networks has also played a leading role in the advancement of online advertising, pioneering many technological and creative developments that have helped to shape the industry.

From our origins as a publisher of computer and technology news and information, we have broadened our scope to cover a world transformed by technology. Today, our brands span the digital lifestyle, entertainment, and business categories. With each new brand we add to our network, our mission remains the same: to build on the collective wisdom and passion of users, marketers, and our own people to create richer and more authentic content experiences.

As we move forward, we continue to be guided by our unique ability to think beyond what's merely possible to what people really want and need, and to innovate to those ideals. That commitment to finding a better way ensures that CNET Networks will always be "a different kind of media company."
