1960 'Hand of the Cause', Mr John Ferraby visited Shetland and gave a talk on 'How man Knows God'. This was reported in both the 'Shetland News' and the 'Shetland Times'.
1963 The community began to grow with the declaration of 3 Bahá'ís
April 1963 Lilian McKay attended the Bahá'í World Congress in the Royal Albert Hall. This was the centenary of the declaration of Bahá'u'lláh in 1863. The newly formed Universal House of Justice was introduced to those present
1964 Mrs Gloria Faizi was the first Bahá'í to visit the outlying islands of Shetland; she visited Fetlar, Unst, Yell, Whalsay and the Skerries
