Op de Palomino/Morgan zul je de lasergaten moeten opvullen met bijvoorbeeld secondenlijm en dan met zilververf de bruggen verbinden.

Thoroughbred: verbind enkel de laatste L3 brug door om de multiplier te unlocken.

Palomino/Thoroughbred: verbind enkel de laatste L5 brug door om de CPU te laten herkennen als Athlon MP zijnde.

Applebred/Thorton: verbind alle L2 bruggen door om de CPU te laten herkennen als Thoroughbred respectievelijk Barton zijnde, compleet met een ingeschakeld wederhelft van de L2 cache. Let wel: er is kans dat dit gedeelte van de L2 cache niet 100% in orde is en dat je daardoor instabiliteit verneemt.
