Platinum Studios has posted a simple website at RomanceSubmissions.com looking for submissions for romance comics. Barbara Kesel is serving as the editor and will be reviewing submissions. A brief bio of Kesel is included.

CrossGen Update: Creators partially compensated

The Pulse reports that a number of former CrossGen creators have recently received payment for CrossGen work long uncompensated. However, the amount creators are being paid is a fraction of the amount previously owed them. Colorist John Rauch posted on the GutterZombie.com message board with a scan of his check for $12.90 from the estate of CrossGen Entertainment, Inc. Laura Martin stated she had received enough to "eat lunch". Rob Schwager revealed he had received $12.90 out of the proported $6,000 he is owed. The Pulse itself was owed $6,000 for advertising, and had received a check for $26. The article has a response from Mark Waid, who left CrossGen before payment problems had begun. James Rochelle replied to the article stating he had received $6.37.

Silver Bullet Comics reports that Drew Geraci, currently inking JSA Classified, will be relaunching his blog at his website DrewGeraci.com. According to a post on his message board, the first blog will be posted on February 1.

Superman, This Is Your Life

DC Comics issued a press release announcing the creative team for a 3-part Superman story called "This Is Your Life". José Marzan, Jr., Norm Rapmund, and Drew Geraci will provide inks for the second part of the story, Action Comics #836, scheduled to arrive February 15. The story will conclude in Adventures of Superman #649, in stores February 22, with art by Karl Kesel, Dale Eaglesham & Drew Geraci, and Dexter Vines, with a cover by Ivan Reis and Marc Campos.

Dragon’s Lair update: cover by Bluth

Newsarama spoke with Arcana's editor-in-chief Sean O'Reilly about 2005 and plans for 2006. Dragon's Lair, originally published by CrossGen and MVCreations, will be coming out in the summer. Issue #1 will reprint the previously published first three issues, with a new cover by Don Bluth. Issue #2 will continue the series by the original creative team of Andy Mangels, Fabio Laguna, Bill Offredi, and Bill Tortolini.
