"What A Site...Together We Build...Treasure On The Tallapoosa" All of these slogans from past and present help articulate the potential Tallassee offers to residents seeking greater quality of life, businessmen seeking a fair and economical commercial presence, and for industries seeking a tax structure conducive to development and a highly-motivated workforce. The first three rules of real estate are: "Location, Location, Location" and Tallassee's strategic location offers fertile opportunities for anyone to consider in their future planning. Tallassee citizens are actively involved in Envision 2020, the 20 year strategic plan for the 5-county River Region.

Tallassee is the undiscovered gem of Elmore County, one of the three fastest growing counties in Alabama, and the "Best Kept Secret in Montgomery". Tallassee is strategically located in Central Alabama's "inner triangle" defined by nearby Montgomery, Auburn/Opelika, and Alexander City, just south of Lake Martin and the Tallapoosa River. We are 26 miles up I-85 from downtown Montgomery, Alabama's state capital. We are 30 miles from the great center of agricultural research and higher learning Auburn University. We are only 15 miles from historic Tuskegee Institute and the new Moton Field "Tuskegee Airmen" National Park Service attraction.

And you can be on a ski boat zipping across Lake Martin in just 20 minutes from downtown Tallassee. World class recreational attractions such as Callaway Gardens and a star Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail course are about an hour away. Tallassee is home of Monster Mountain, one of the country's most renowned motocross parks and the exceptional Southern cooking and elegant antique-furnished rooms of the historic Hotel Talisi draw visitors from all over Central Alabama.

An "outer triangle" defines our strategic location with three major metropolis logistic hubs as corners. We are only 120 miles southwest down Interstate I-85 from metropolis Atlanta, through which 85% of America's goods flow by surface and air freight. We are 60 miles southeast from Birmingham, the great interstate crossroads metropolis of finance and automotive industries. We are 120 miles northeast from the great Gulf Coast port of Mobile and the sugar white beaches of Pensacola and Destin Florida. With the recent introduction of East Chase, an innovative new open luxury shopping environment on Taylor Road, Montgomery is rapidly blazing its expansion northeast up I-85 and Tallassee is directly on that development path. Expect property values to increase; goods, services and infrastructure to become more convenient; and a developing, highly-trained and loyal workforce to continue evolving in future years.

Now is the time to invest in Tallassee. Tallassee's "Totally Non-Union Industrial Work Force" is highly productive and has a high work ethic.  The quality of life in Tallassee is the best you can find with its peace-loving churches and citizens, safe neighborhoods, outstanding healthcare facilities, excellent city school system, legendary historical sites, lakes and recreational opportunities.

The Tallassee Industrial Development Board offers affordable space in its Entrepreneur Center for startup or expanding industries, as well as affordable property in the three (3) industrial parks.  Tallassee Industrial Park South is a recently purchased 234 acre site located just over 2 miles from I-85.  Tallassee Industrial Park is a 79.5 acre site with approximately 20 acres still available and is only 6 miles from I-85.  The Donald Reeves Airport Park is located approximately 8 miles from I-85 and has approximately 100 acres available for purchase.

The Elmore County Economic Development Authority teams up with Tallassee Industrial Development Board, Chamber of Commerce, and Tallassee City Council to promote economic progress and improvement of the quality of life for all of the citizens in the Greater Tallassee Area.  This visionary team welcomes and supports new and expanding industries and business in Tallassee.
