TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES

Pittsburgh Voyager has opportunities for talented, enthusiastic and adventuresome people to become a part of our a river-based teaching crew! Positions are available seasonally. Qualified individuals have a unique opportunity to teach science, math, and environmental education onboard our floating classroom. Positions are available in spring (March-June), summer (June-August), and fall (September-November).

These are part-time positions, 2-4 days per week, 6-8 hour days.
These positions start at $8.00-$10/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelors degree in education or science field
Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: freshwater ecosystems,
water quality, navigation, aquatic life
Previous teaching experience in formal or non-formal setting preferred
Enjoy working with children
Willingness to work in the outdoors, around water, and onboard a boat
Act 34/151 clearances
Premployment Drug Testing and Random Drug Testing program participation
