LIBS ON ANOTHER PLANET!

The band spring a few surprises at a special London show...

Libertines were joined onstage last night (April 15) by reclusive new wave legend PETER PERRETT of THE ONLY ONES.

For a special party to celebrate the two-year anniversary of thelibertines.org, the band high tailed it over from their recording studio to appear at the Rhythm Factory in Whitechapel at 12:50am.

Peter Perrett joined the band for a beefy version of their hit 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun' - he later returned with his sons for a version of The Only Ones' new wave classic 'Another Girl, Another Planet'.

Libertines also found time to play new songs 'Don't Be Shy' and an untitled reggae-inflected song written the day before.

Libertines are currently well into recording their second album, the follow up to 'Up The Bracket'. Pete Libertine sings on current single 'For Lovers' by his pal Wolfman which looks set to be the highest [a][/a] -related chart entry so far.
