Now Available are Planning Reports Prepared for the MBTA Regarding Arborway Service. The PDFs below can be viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or higher.

The Arborway Street Car Restoration Expanded Environmental Notification Form (EENF) was submitted to the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA), and a MEPA Certificate on the EENF was issued by the Secretary.

The Analysis of Restoration of Light Rail to the ArborwayAnalysis of Restoration of Light Rail to the Arborway reviews design issues associated with restoration of streetcar service in the Arborway corridor from Heath Street to Forest Hills Station.

The Arborway Alternatives AnalysisArborway Alternatives Analysis compares the light rail restoration alternative with CNG bus service.

In addition, Testimony of the Arborway Committee before the DEP responds to and reacts to the MBTA's documents. Since the time of these reports, the MBTA, at the direction of the Department of Environmental Protection, has begun the community and planning process to restore light rail along the corridor.
