Welcome to the SASS 2006 web site!
We look forward to your participation in the 96th Annual Meeting of the Society
for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study, which will take place here in Oxford,
Mississippi, May 4-6, 2006. This web site will provide you with all the
information necessary to register for SASS 2006, guide you through the selection
of hotel accommodations, guide your selection of transportation possibilities to
and within Oxford, keep you updated on paper proposals received by the planning
committee, and link you to relevant web sites that provide more information
about Oxford, The University of Mississippi, and features in the Oxford area.

The local organizers of the 2006 annual meeting include Prof. Nancy Wicker,

Metcalf, Executive Director of the Croft Institute for International Studies and
Professor of History & International Studies. Staffing the conference is Ms. Ann
