ega announced today that they will not be releasing the PS2 version of Altered Beast in the US.  The company still plans on releasing the game in Japan as Project Altered Beast.  Officially the company stated, "Sega has no plans to publish or license Altered Beast for the current generation of hardware in North America."

Game Informer Online has also heard that the company is now being more selective with the titles that they bring over from Japan, with Altered Beast being just one of those titles that the company opted to pass on for US release.
