The Bay Guardian welcomes letters and opinion pieces commenting
on our coverage or other topics of local interest. Opinion columns must
be between 600 and 650 words, while letters should be as brief and to
the point as possible. We reserve the right to edit letters and opinions
for length and clarity. Without exception, letters and opinions must be
typed and signed. We will occasionally allow letters to be published with
the writer's name withheld, but we still need that information, along
with the writer's phone number, for verification purposes.
Priority will be given to letters that are short and timely, so get us
your feedback on what you read as soon as possible. Letters may be submitted
by e-mail to letters@sfbg.com, or
to the Bay Guardian at 135 Mississippi St., S.F., CA 94107.
Demand for opinion space is high, and columns are often booked weeks
in advance, so please plan ahead if you want to write about an issue that
is pegged to an event. Priority is given to those with prominence or expertise
in the subject matter. Opinions should be sent in e-mail form (no attachments)
to executive editor Tim Redmond at tredmond@sfbg.com.
