THE CENSUS LONG FORM CORRECT RESPONSE

THE CENSUS LONG FORM CORRECT RESPONSE

Having just tried to fulfill my legal obligation "under penalty of law" to answer the census information asked in the long form, I found that the text was woefully deficient. As a responsible citizen, I found that I could not answer the page 3 through page 38 questions.

Specifically, the preparatory questions all included the word "is" like,
"What is this person's name?"
or
"What is this persons telephone number?"

Because the pamphlet did not include a defintion of terms, I was at a loss as to what the meaning of "is" is.

As all Americans are now painfully aware [thanks to Pres. Clinton], the answer to any question that contains the word "is", depends on what the meaning of "is" is!

As such, I circled each use of the word "is" and noted my confusion by stating ... "All of these questions depend on what the meaning of 'is' is. There is no definition included so I am unable to answer!" This seems a reasonable "good faith" reply that this administration should understand, especially since Clinton taught us all its importance.

"All of these questions depend on what the meaning of "is" is.
Is "is" is or "is" is ain't?
Yes "is" is with one constraint:
"Is" is never "is" becuz
Once you've said "is," "is" is "wuz!"
