Zikan or Zhigan (Жиган, possibly nickname, meanings in russian - trickster, cheater or stoker) was a Russian sniper in World War II who killed 224 German soldiers during the Battle of Stalingrad. He is reputed to have had the highest kill score of any Soviet sniper during the battle. "Zikan" is mentioned in the book "Stalingrad" by Antony Beevor: "The highest scorer identified only as Zikan killed 224 Germans by November 20."
