and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
  A Scout is:
Trustworthy
Loyal

Courteous
Kind
  Obedient
Cheerful

Reverent

Scout Law

TRUSTWORTHY
A Scout tells the truth. He keeps his promises. Honesty is part of his code of conduct. People can depend on him.
LOYAL
A Scout is true to his family, Scout leaders, friends, school, and nation.
HELPFUL
A Scout is concerned about other people. He does things willingly for others without pay or reward.
FRIENDLY
A Scout is a friend to all. He is a brother to other Scouts. He seeks to understand others. He respects those with ideas and customs other than his own.
COURTEOUS
A Scout is polite to everyone regardless of age or position. He knows good manners make it easier for people to get along together.
KIND
A Scout understands there is strength in being gentle. He treats others as he wants to be treated. He does not hurt or kill harmless things without reason.
OBEDIENT
A Scout follows the rules of his family, school, and troop. He obeys the laws of his community and country. If he thinks these rules and laws are unfair, he tries to have them changed in an orderly manner rather than disobey them.
CHEERFUL
A Scout looks for the bright side of things. He cheerfully does tasks that come his way. He tries to make others happy.
THRIFTY
A Scout works to pay his way and to help others. He saves for unforeseen needs. He protects and conserves natural resources. He carefully uses time and property.
BRAVE
A Scout can face danger even if he is afraid. He has the courage to stand for what he thinks is right even if others laugh at or threaten him.
CLEAN
A Scout keeps his body and mind fit and clean. He goes around with those who believe in living by these same ideals. He helps keep his home and community clean.
REVERENT
A Scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties. He respects the beliefs of others.

I would like to welcome all of our new members and all of our returning Scouts. This promises to be an exciting year. On the Pack level, We will be having a picnic at Wapelhorst Park in August, a campout at Cuiver River State Park in September. Popcorn Sales in late October, Christmas Caroling in December, and in the spring, we have Pinewood Derby Races, Blue and Gold Banquette, Shriner's Parade, Good Turn at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetary, and a Spring Camp Out. Other events might be added too. There's lots of things to do in Cub Scouts.

On the Den level, there are lots of things to keep these young men busy learning new things as well. Each Den has it's own meetings, Go-See-Its (field trips), and what ever other activities the members of the Den and It's leader decide to do.

The activities in Scouts are designed to teach each boy how to get along in a group and work as a team. They also teach them manners as well as how to become self sufficient and take pride in a job well done.

Please check the "Announcements" page to get more information on upcoming events. Click on an event to get more details on a particular event. On the Pack 530 Calendar, it an event is underlined, you can also click on it to get more info.

We are always looking for parents to volunteer to help out or chair an event. All of the Leaders in this organization are parents of Scouts themselves who unselfishly take time out of their busy schedules to make these events a success. We all work, we all have kids in other events, and we all volunteer. Please do the same. Look at the Event Chairman page and pick out something to help with. I signed my son up with scouts only one year ago. Hesetantly, I volunteered. It's work, but It's fun to see the kids have a good time. It makes it all worth while. It's for my son (and my daughter). I've done a lot more with them since we joined Cub Scouts. It kind of "makes" you set time aside for them at an age they need you most. So, Thank You ahead of time for helping out.

Our web site changes frequently durring the school year. You can find out when our next Pack meeting is, or when your next Den meeting is by looking on the Pack 530 Calendar . If you have any Questions, feel free to contact your leader. You can find their number on the Leaders page.
