Electronic Arts has released a new patch for NASCAR SimRacing, bringing the racing game developed by EA Tiburon to v1.0.2.9 (thanks: Blues). This patch disables disqualification and provides more time for players to react to yellow flags and the associated rules. The update is provided on an 'as is' basis and not officially supported by Electronic Arts Inc. Before attempting to install this patch, you must ensure that the downloaded file is in the same directory where your game is installed. By default the game is installed at C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NASCAR SimRacing.

Matrix Games and Worlds Apart Productions announced Newbie Night on April 15th, 2006 for Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga. Widelands is a strategy game aiming for gameplay similar to Settlers II by BlueByte. Thanks: Computer Games. In this game, you start out on a small piece of land with nothing more thana few of useful resources. Using those, you can build yourself an empire with many thousands of inhabitants. On your way towards this goal, you will have to build up an economic infrastructure, explore the lands around you and face enemies who are trying to rule the world just like you do. Widelands is now on the step of being playable, but to become more playable volunteers are needed. Sigil Games Online, Inc., a game studio formed in January 2002 by Brad McQuaid and Jeff Butler, both key figures in the development of EverQuest, has updated the official Vanguard: Saga of Heroes website with new screenshots (available also in our gallery), illustrating this MMORPG which powered by Unreal Engine. Vanguard Saga of Heroes will be published by Microsoft Game Studios.

We have new screenshots from Guild Wars: Factions, showcasing the next chapter of Guild Wars, the popular mission-based competitive online RPG developed by ArenaNet. Slated for a 28th April 2006 release, Guild Wars: Factions will offer new regions, professions, skills, missions, and monsters, along with expanded options for both Cooperative and Player-versus-Player (PvP) play, and enhanced features for guilds.

Legend of Ares is medieval fantasy-action MMORPG in the works at MGame which revolves around the conflicts between two nations, the Holy Empire and the Religious Alliance. NCsoft announced that you can sign up today for your chance at one of the limited closed beta slots for Dungeon Runners. You are welcome to pass this message along to your friends. CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder puts players to work alongside Gil Grissom, Catherine Willows and the rest of the original Las Vegas cast to help solve intense cases and investigate crimes using cutting-edge techniques and real-world forensic equipment. The game features an all-new, real-time 3D engine, enriched character interactions and animations, and longer, more immersive stories.

Developer S2 Games announced that it is extending the sign-up date for gamers wishing to be a part of their closed beta process for Savage 2: A Tortured Soul, to June 1, 2006. Previously, customers who wished to be a part of the beta phase needed to pre-order the game by April 15, 2006. Savage 2: A Tortured Soul, the sequel Savage: The Battle for Newerth, features an improved melee system, a FPS or third person RPG gameplay for different characters, better items and an enhanced spell casting system. As for graphics, developers implemented high quality models and animations, fully dynamic self shadows, realistic reflective water effects, bump mapping and pixel shaders. Launching in the Fall of 2006, Savage 2: A Tortured Soul will be available for purchase as an online download from the S2 Games website at $29.99 USD.
