This electronic publication is published
by the Society for Amateur Scientists, an organization
dedicated to helping people enrich their lives
by following their passion to take part in scientific
adventures of all kinds. Our members run the gamut
from professional scientists with Ph.D.s to young
people with a thirst to understand the world around
them.
The Citizen Scientist is a tool,
a forum, a gallery of uncommon ingenuity. Every
week we publish news, ideas, and techniques from
the amateur scientist community. Our goal is to
educate and empower those who enjoy testing the
limits of their genius and experience against
the wonders and mysteries of science and technology.
If you are not yet a member of
SAS, we invite you to join us. We are an active,
vigorous community of individuals and small groups
who enjoy the quest to discover. To learn more
