Confirmation: EA Will Publish Aftermath

Originally toted as a Steam-only title, I recently confirmed with Valve's Doug Lombardi that the EA deal will bring Aftermath to the stores. If you remember from the original online reports of the title, it was suggested that a boxed form wouldn't be available.

Chris_D: Does this mean that EA will bring Aftermath to the stores?

Doug: Yes.
Stay tuned for more information on Aftermath.

I thought EA were only going to be Publishing XBox titles from Valve, or is Aftermath on XBox aswell and that's what they're talking about?

At least they'll spread the message of Half-Life 2 and its future expansion to ignorant masses...

I wonder if they'll make a Deluxe Edition?

AS long as I don't have to look at the EA logo every time I start the game, I'll be ok with that :3

EA are Valve's publishers for ALL retail titles including consoles and PC. The only thing not affected is sales of Steam... at the moment.

You really sure that the HL community needs to add people from the "ignorant masses"? I know several communities which did such that and had serious consequences.

EA are purely distributing the game, they won't have any say in its development. They will not be able to ruin Half-Life 2.
