Permanent Entry Visas Permanent entry visa applications (except general skilled, business skills, parent subclasses and Refugee and Humanitarian entry visa (Class XB) applications accompanied by a proposal form 681) from the following countries are lodged, processed and decided in Nairobi: Kenya, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Niger, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda.

Permanent entry visa applications (except general skilled, business skills, parent subclasses and all Refugee and Humanitarian entry visa (Class XB) applications) from Ghana, Mali, Mauritania are lodged in Nairobi.

Refugee and Humanitarian entry visas (Class XB) From 1 September 2004, people present in Kenya, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Niger, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda who apply for a visa under the global Special Humanitarian Program (subclass 202) or for a Refugee or Humanitarian visa under ‘immediate family’ (Split Family) provisions must lodge their application at the DIMIA office in Sydney, Australia.

Refugee and Humanitarian entry visa (Class XB) applications not accompanied by a proposal form 681 for Kenya, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Niger, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda continue to be lodged in Nairobi.

All Refugee and Humanitarian entry visa (Class XB) applications for Ghana, Mali and Mauritania are lodged at the Australian High Commission, Pretoria, South Africa.

Other Permanent Entry Visas General skilled migration applications for Kenya, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda are lodged and processed at the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre.

Business Skills applications are lodged and processed at the Perth Business Skills Processing Centre.

Contributory parent and parent migration applications are lodged and processed at the Perth Offshore Parents Centre.
