Lace, Hip Slinger Belt. Dresses up the most basic outfit!

Feeling like your wardrobe needs a little pick me up? Well, we all know that a new accessory is the easiest way to add life to an outfit & to express personal style. Add a touch of unique with this adorably sexy belt! You don't even need a sewing machine for this one!

Supplies: Only a few ingredients - 6,1/2" wide lace (the soft stretchy kind on a roll that is commonly used for lingerie) enough to wrap around your hips +18"
- buckle as shown -these come in a variety of sizes and materials. I chose a 2,1/2" diameter, plastic buckle (the size & weight works well for this project)
- thread, pins, scissors

Directions:
Slip the lace through the buckle as shown & pin to back. (make sure the front of the buckle & the good side of the lace are facing the same way)

Pin & sew (hand stitch or machine stitch)

Cut the other end at a 40 degree angle. (the great thing about this lace is that it doesn't fray so we don't need to finish the end - yeah!)

Believe it or not, that's it! I'm already dreaming of the black lace & vintage, rhinestone buckle combo!

The finished piece:
