Anti-War Messages:
Why Are We Still Against War?
In 2003, millions of Americans joined the rest of the world in a determined, dignified, peaceful effort to prevent an unjust war. Those efforts were defeated by an oil-hungry, war-addicted, forgery-employing, out-and-out lying President Bush.
Some would expect America's anti-war activists to slink away, to go back quietly to their homes to await the next conflict. Others know better. Others worry that George W. Bush is planning a new war in his second term. A President who has no policy but war must use the engines of war so long as he is President.
The struggle to overcome the warmongers has not ended, and those who are wise are preparing for the effort to sell a new war against a new evil enemy.
We offer the following to you as symbols of readiness, as signs of continued resolve, as testament to your commitment to peace in these dark days of perpetual war.
