Important information regarding Ulrich’s family of products
Dear Ulrich’s Customer:
Exciting news for the Ulrich’s family of products!
In January of 2006, the development, marketing, sales and support of Bowker’s Ulrich’s serials product lines will transition to CSA, our sister company in the Cambridge Information Group. Ulrich’s and its related products – Ulrichsweb.com, Ulrich’s Serials Analysis System, Ulrich’s Resource Linker and Ulrich’s on Disc– will join the rich array of CSA products and services. The Ulrich’s editorial team and its many language specialists, along with the Bowker serials product development team, will become CSA employees.
You may already know CSA as a leading publisher and provider of quality abstracts and indexes. CSA currently publishes and distributes – in print and electronically – more than 100 bibliographic and full-text databases and journals in four primary editorial areas: natural sciences, social sciences, arts & humanities, and technology. Ulrich’s will become an essential component of the resources and tools for serials information discovery, organization, management, and access that CSA provides to researchers in more than 4,000 institutions worldwide. The strength and authority of the Ulrich’s brand in conjunction with the innovative technologies developed by CSA means that Ulrich’s will have an even greater opportunity to meet the changing needs of serials information users.
Bowker and CSA will work to ensure that this transition is smooth and has no effect on your current subscription or product usage. For those customers with current invoices, please continue to remit according to the invoice. Beginning in the first quarter of 2006, CSA will transition the invoicing function and the new invoices will provide clear instructions on remittance.
In addition, please watch Ulrich’s and its related products as they evolve to take advantage of CSA’s leadership in areas such as interface design, award-winning support, and active customer care programs that include on-site training.
