Welcome!
Thanks for visiting The City of
Valley Online.
Valley, Alabama was born in 1980 when the towns
of Riverview, Fairfax, Langdale and Shawmut, so called "mill
villages", voted to incorporate. The incorporation process happened in a record time of 15 months!
We are
centrally
located on I - 85 between two State Capitols - Montgomery, Alabama to
the south and Atlanta, Georgia to the north. The city has a land area
of approximately 10.3 Sq.
Miles.
We are excited about the
opportunity to share community resources with you through this medium.
We hope it provides you an opportunity to express your concerns and to get
answers to questions you might have about your city government. For
those who live outside the area, we hope you enjoy your visit to The City of Valley.
Each City Department will have information relevant to that department
and to its operations. You will be able to access that
information from the links listed throughout the site. We invite and
welcome citizen
feedback.
If you have suggestions or comments on the kind of information you
would like to see here, you can e-mail those comments to us.
