Basketball ticket system delayed

The new online ticketing system for distributing basketball tickets will not be used for tonight's game against UNC Asheville and the Monday evening game against Elon. Students who wish to attend the games should use their BuzzCards for admission, while the system is being updated.

Court rules in favor of Houston

Judge M. Gino Brogdon Jr. of Fulton County Superior Court ruled earlier this week that former cornerback, Reuben Houston, must be allowed to play football at Tech. Houston was arrested on felony charges of conspiring to distribute and possess 94 pounds of marijuana in June and was released on bail. Chan Gailey said that he would "treat him just like any other student-athlete on the football team."

Volleyball signs recruits for 2006

Two volleyball recruits signed letters of intent this past week. Committing were middle hitter Erin Birmingham from Kansas City, Mo. and middle blocker/right-side hitter Brittany Roderick of Orlando, Fla.

Lady Jackets hit the floor tonight

The Lady Jackets open their hoops season tonight as they travel to Birmingham to take on UAB at 8 p.m. Coach MaChelle Joseph returns 12 members from her team last year and also welcome three freshman into the mix. All five starters from last year's squad will return to the court while welcoming three freshmen. Every game this season can be heard on the Tech student radio station, WREK 91.1 FM.
