John Cousins has had a lifelong romance with music. In the mid-seventies John was heavily involved with electronic music, working at the seminal ARP Instruments and with synthesizer pioneer Robert Moog on the largest Moog installation ever, at the University of Massachusetts. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Electronic Music and Media Production and later got an MBA from The Wharton School. Out of college, John immediately moved to New York to work in recording studios, including Record Plant and Sigma Sound, as well as for the ABC television network. He also was co-producer of the highly influential music television show New Music+, that included the first TV appearances of: The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, Ministry, Run DMC, They Might Be Giants and many, many others. He is a jazz piano player and composer and his first love is music.
