Kiddie capelet

Kiddie Capelet

Sooo cute, so easy! And it’s a super quick knit! This pattern calls for the full gamut of circulars though!

1-2 skeins of worsted weight yarn (here’s why the pattern is free! I used leftover yarn so I have no clue how much I used, not much though. Maybe 130 yards?? All I know is that I used some of that super cheap craft store kind of chenille yarn, maybe tlc? )
Size 8 dpn’s
Size 9 circulars or dpn’s
Size 10 1/2 circulars
Size 11 circulars
Size 13 circulars
Size 15 circulars
darning needle or crochet hook for weaving in the ends
stitch markers

cast on 64 stitches and join, always and forever being careful that you don’t twist the stitches, join.
Work k2, p2 rib for 1 and 1/2″
Switch to size 9 circulars if you can, dpn’s if it won’t stretch.
From BOR- k8 *pm, k8*
1) Increase round- *k to marker, m1, pass marker, *
2) Knit 2 rounds
repeat rounds 1 and 2 THREE more times.
Switch to 10 and 1/2 circulars.
repeat rounds 1 and 2 FOUR more times
Switch to size 11 circulars, repeat 1 and 2 ONE more time, then knit 3 rounds straight.
next round *k2tog, yo, k1*
Switch to size 13 circulars, knit one round

Now, for the finishing- there is a fluted like ruffle. To do this simply knit into the front and back of every stitch for one round.
Knit 2 more rounds and bind off.
Weave in ends and she’s DONE!
