Kiddie Capelet

Sooo cute, so easy! And it’s a super quick knit! This pattern calls for the full gamut of circulars though!

materials:
1-2 skeins of worsted weight yarn (here’s why the pattern is free! I used leftover yarn so I have no clue how much I used, not much though. Maybe 130 yards?? All I know is that I used some of that super cheap craft store kind of chenille yarn, maybe tlc? )
Size 8 dpn’s
Size 9 circulars or dpn’s
Size 10 1/2 circulars
Size 11 circulars
Size 13 circulars
Size 15 circulars
darning needle or crochet hook for weaving in the ends
stitch markers

Directions:
cast on 64 stitches and join, always and forever being careful that you don’t twist the stitches, join.
Work k2, p2 rib for 1 and 1/2″
Switch to size 9 circulars if you can, dpn’s if it won’t stretch.
From BOR- k8 *pm, k8*
1) Increase round- *k to marker, m1, pass marker, *
2) Knit 2 rounds
repeat rounds 1 and 2 THREE more times.
Switch to 10 and 1/2 circulars.
repeat rounds 1 and 2 FOUR more times
Switch to size 11 circulars, repeat 1 and 2 ONE more time, then knit 3 rounds straight.
next round *k2tog, yo, k1*
Switch to size 13 circulars, knit one round
next round *k2tog, yo, k1*
Switch to size 15 circulars, and repeat the following 2 rows untill desired length
1) Knit
2) *k2tog, yo, k1*

Now, for the finishing- there is a fluted like ruffle. To do this simply knit into the front and back of every stitch for one round.
Knit 2 more rounds and bind off.
Weave in ends and she’s DONE!
