Documenting The Strange, But In A Good Way Add to Bookmarks

Last Update: Monday January 27, 2003

Some times, I write columns that I think are ’good’ meaning the writing & the subject are ’solid’ & worthy of note. Some times, I treat my space here as a bit more than a blog & discuss stuff that is in my head. But then there are the times, like today, when this column is really about the links.

I have no particular ’excuse’ today, other than I have been sick & spend some time surfing. And by ’just surfing’ I feel I have stumbled into an un-authorized documentation of the strange.

Now, I like the strange. I think that goes without saying. But for those of you who are either new or belong to the links I found, I think it should be stated, for the record.

After all, one of the reasons I love the net (frankly, I am addicted), is that I can find stuff that I either didn’t know I was missing, or that makes me realize that being ’out there’ has all sorts of definitions.

When I have the time to ’just surf’ I find that I am fascinated by the hobbies, interests, nich markets, and collections of others.

I may not want to ’do’ all these folks do, but I do envy, a bit, the fact that each has a ’calling’ of sorts. And they answered.

I think that is cool.

So, this time, GK has posted some ’strange’ that you at least have to honor for it’s dedication to theme, the time it took to catalog or save, or at the very least, to put into html & put up on a server.

If you like it, it is ’cult’ and cool. If you don’t, you just shake your head.

But either way, it sure provides an interesting break from your ’usual’ and some great resources for emailing your friends.
